Lourdes Ramalho e a contranarrativa do mito fundacional da nação em perspectiva regional: leituras de dois textos – A guerreira Joanita Guabiraba e Guiomar filha da mãe...

Abstract

This is an analysis-intepretation of two texts by Lourdes Ramalho, namely: "The Warrior Joanita Guabiraba" (unpublished) and "Guiomar The Mother" (2003). For the discussions undertaken in this research, it is part of the relations fought by the author in search of space as a playwright in the local/reginal scenario, from the years 1970 and, subsequently, at the national level. Therefore, it discusses the erasure of this dramaturgy in a historical moment in which countless female voices emerged in the Brazilian stages. Given the configurations of the dramaturgy Ramalhiana and the centrality of the female characters that cross the three cycles of this production, namely: the first cycle, lasting from 1970 to 1990; The second cycle from 1990 to 2000; And the third cycle, called the "enclave cycle", has as its main objective to understand the contributions of this literature to a poetic of northeastern dramaturgy, from the tessiture of a contranarrative of the myth of the founding of the nation in the two works Cited. Thus, it is observed how the counterhegemonic discourse is given in "the Warrior Joanita Guabiraba" and "Guiomar the mother's daughter", belonging to the enclave cycle of this dramaturgy and constituent of the thematic axis that places women as holders of power and, therefore, Forming a matriarchal order. To this end, the author builds narratives that dethrone the founding myths created throughout the national history by dominant groups and reproduced as truth. It is confirmed, then, the vision of the imagined community of Anderson (2008), by showing the national ideas and regional boundaries as imaginary divisions, based on political and economic interests, and how such factors influenced the silation of the work Ramalhiana in the national stages. It is also observed the dynamics that involve the definitions of region, regionalism and regionality and the influences of each of these aspects in the analyzed works. In addition, we present the discussions of Albuquerque Jr. (2011) On the invention of the Northeast and how this discursive construction influences the Ramalhiana work and the national literary criticism. For this purpose, we consider the main theoretical contributions, besides those already cited, the studies of Maciel (2012) and Andrade (2012), Hobsbawm (1984), Bhabha (1998), Chauí (2006) and Sommer (2004).
