Flores que cheiram e flores que não se cheiram: reflexões sobre a dramaturgia e duas diferentes montagens teatrais de As Malditas, de Saulo Queiroz

Abstract

This is a documentary research within the scope of the history of theater in Paraíba, and which intends to be inserted in the cycle of actions, in development, with the aim of registering and preserving the memory of this activity, focusing on the work of the playwright Saulo Queiroz, based on the analysis-interpretation of his dramaturgy and two theatrical stagings of the play As Malditas. Thus, a reflection on the scene produced in Campina Grande and João Pessoa is proposed, through the analysis of this two stagings of the same play, performed by two different groups and premiered in 1997 and 2002, respectively. The aim is analyze the relationships between scene agents (director, actor, actress) based on the text-scene relationship, through the analysis of documents preserved in the artists' private archives, in addition to the oral testimonies of actors involved in those events, seeking to record this history and encourage debate on the text/scene relationship, with a view to reflecting on processes of theatrical writings or rewritings of the same dramaturgy.
