O processo de educação permanente no âmbito do serviço social no atual contexto de crise capitalista

Abstract

This dissertation has as object of study the process of permanent education in the Brazilian Social Work, inserted in the context of capitalist crisis, highlighting the transformations in the world of work, as well as the several counter-reforms put in the scope of education, especially in higher education as relevant mediations. That directly interfere with challenges and possibilities in making this process effective. In this sense, the elaboration and development of this study was carried out based on a bibliographic survey and documentary research, with the general objective of evaluating the counter-reform of higher education and the transformations that took place in the world of work in order to carry out the permanent education process. in the Brazilian Social Service, highlighting as an objective of resistance and confrontation for the realization of this process in the current conjuncture. And as specific objectives, to characterize the current counter-reform of higher education in the country and its consequences for the process of permanent education in Social Work; Identify the changes in the world of work and its relationship with the process of permanent education in the Brazilian Social Work and learn how the process of permanent education in the Brazilian Social Work has been carried out, in the face of the structural crisis of capital. The interest in the theme emerged during the insertion in the Mandatory Supervised Internship in Social Work, at the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), carried out between the years 2016 to June 2017, at the Municipal Secretary of Social Assistance of Campina Grande - PB (SEMAS- CG), where it was possible to observe the need and the interest of Social Assistants in the area to systematically promote debates, lectures, training, workshops etc., in order to build and reconstruct professional practices that were increasingly connected with the profession's ethical-political project. It was based on the critical-dialectical method, which allows analyzing the phenomena in a perspective of totality in order to reveal the dynamics of the movement between the appearance and the essence of the object of study. The present work assumes relevance since there is little production in the area of Social Work that contemplates the theme of permanent education, which makes it essential to develop research that deals with the theme. The results suggest that permanent education in Social Work faces challenges such as the neoliberal logic of marketing in the scope of education that hinders the effectiveness of the mentioned process, as well as possibilities, such as the defense of the Permanent Education Policy, the realization of spaces that allow the exercise of permanent education in a critical perspective among others. Therefore, we believe that these results may contribute to the widening and deepening of debates on the professional agenda about permanent education in Brazilian Social Work in the current situation of dismantling social rights, as well as stimulating new research on the subject.
